چکیده

In Chiapas, Mexico, there are high-yielding coffee plants adapted to the local climatic conditions. The presence of microorganisms in explants makes developing protocols for cloning these genotypes vitro difficult. objective this work was evaluate how field and microorganism management affected asepsis induction callogenesis leaf agronomically important plants. Drought-tolerant were obtained from aseptic cell cultures using a participatory study, agronomic, techniques. Five accessions (ITTGj 1-5) selected 21-year-old Borbon cultivar. present study conducted over two flowering cycles, evaluating effect on explant first callogenic response caused by culture medium, transport solution, genotype, second. Sixty days before collection, biweekly applications calcium polysulfide (10 % v v-1), copper oxychloride (2 g L-1), Zingiber officinale extract (20 L-1) reduced fungal contamination 100 bacterial 90 %. Field transportation 200 mg L-1 citric acid ascorbic solution oxidation cultures. Proembryogenic friable corns formed with combination 4.4 µM BAP (6-benzylaminopurine) 7.25 2,4-D (2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) at 45 culture, genotype four showing best response. effective establishment Coffea arabica vitro, used an appropriate growth regulator callogenesis.

Biosynthesis of chlorogenic acids in growing and ripening fruits of Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora plants.

Chlorogenic acids are major secondary metabolites found in coffee seeds. The accumulation of chlorogenic acids and free quinic acids was studied in Coffea arabica cv. Tall Mokka and Coffea canephora seeds. Growth stages are specified from I to V, corresponding to rapid expansion and pericarp growth (I), endosperm formation (II), mature (green) (III), ripening (pink) (IV), and fully ripened (red...

Endophytic bacteria in Coffea arabica L.

Eighty-seven culturable endophytic bacterial isolates in 19 genera were obtained from coffee plants collected in Colombia (n = 67), Hawaii (n = 17), and Mexico (n = 3). Both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria were isolated, with a greater percentage (68%) being Gram negative. Tissues yielding bacterial endophytes included adult plant leaves, various parts of the berry (e.g., crown, pulp, ...

Effect of greenhouse conditions on the leaf apoplastic proteome of Coffea arabica plants.

UNLABELLED This work describes the coffee leaf apoplastic proteome and its modulation by the greenhouse conditions. The apoplastic fluid (APF) was obtained by leaf vacuum infiltration, and the recovered proteins were separated by 2-DE and subsequently identified by matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight-mass spectrometry, followed by homology search in EST coffee databases. ...

PHYSIOLOGICAL DOSE-RESPONSE OF COFFEE (Coffea arabica L.) PLANTS TO GLYPHOSATE DEPENDS ON GROWTH STAGE

Glyphosate is the main herbicide used in coffee (Coffea arabica L.) plantations in Brazil. Problems with herbicide drift commonly occur in orchard fields due to non-adequate spraying conditions. A series of experiments was carried out aiming to evaluate physiological dose-response of C. arabica plants submitted to exposure to simulated glyphosate drift in two distinct plant growth stages. Glyph...

Identification of novel and conserved microRNAs in Coffea canephora and Coffea arabica

As microRNAs (miRNAs) are important regulators of many biological processes, a series of small RNAomes from plants have been produced in the last decade. However, miRNA data from several groups of plants are still lacking, including some economically important crops. Here microRNAs from Coffea canephora leaves were profiled and 58 unique sequences belonging to 33 families were found, including ...
